The Inaugural Progress Gala
Marking new territories.
Late into 2013 the Broadbent Institute ran it’s first ever Progress Gala event. Hosted in one of Toronto’s AGO rooms. The event featured keynote speaker Robert Gibbs, former White House Press Secretary and Communications Director to President Obama, with an introduction by Official Opposition Leader Thomas Mulcair and Mr. Ed Broadbent himself.
I got to interview former Prime Ministers Brian Mulroney and Jean Chretien, as well as former Mayor of Mississauga, Hazel McCallion.
Additional interviews were furnished by former National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations Sean Atleo, Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson, former Premier of Manitoba Greg Sellinger. And a selfie recording by the first female Prime Minister of Canada, Kim Campbell.
At the event, I photographed the speakers and documented the evenings guests.
